Job overview

Answer or take calls on NHS 111 mental health option from service users across Greater Manchester. 

Conduct mental health assessments, including risk assessments over the phone.

Make clinical judgement about severity, urgency and provide interventions.

Identify immediate needs and escalate to emergency services where required.

Identify and refer or signpost callers to appropriate services; GP, Community Mental health services, emergency services such as NWAS and GMP.

Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and partner agencies.

Provide supervision and support Assistant Practitioners 

Maintain accurate, timely and comprehensive clinical records.
