Housekeeper - Children's Community Nursing Services

Job overview
We are seeking a part-time Housekeeper to join the Children’s Long Term Ventilation Team (CLTVT), which supports children with complex health needs and disabilities. The service operates primarily in family homes, special school sites, and community-based settings within the Oldham locality. The successful candidate will be based at the Integrated Care Centre, Oldham, working flexible hours across a 7-day week, including day and evening shifts.
The Housekeeper will play a key role in ensuring a high-quality, clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This includes maintaining cleanliness of medical equipment and clinical areas, managing stock levels, and supporting the nursing team in delivering effective facility services.
Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.
Main duties of the job
- Work as an integral part of the CLTVT to support high-quality patient care.
- Maintain cleanliness of medical equipment and storage areas.
- Clean equipment after use and clinical areas after patient discharge or clinic visits.
- Clean trolleys and associated equipment.
- Maintain and update equipment and stock databases.
- Ensure stock levels are adequate and replenished as needed.
- Liaise with support services and the estates department.
- Assist nurses and team leaders in maintaining the clinical environment.
- Respond to health emergencies as directed by the nursing team.
- Create a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Organise daily tasks independently while maintaining high standards.
- Complete checklists and ensure robust handovers are provided.

Essential criteria
- Experience in using customer care skills

- A good standard of general education
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience in a housekeeping / health/care support worker role
