Job overview

The Sustainability department are looking to enhance their Maintenance team and have a position available for a Band 3, full time, Maintenance Assistant to work at The Royal Oldham Hospital.

You will work with as an integrated member of the Sustainability team across a multi-discipline of clinical and non-clinical areas.

Main duties of the job

You will assist with day to day maintenance and repairs, compliance work, Admin and installations within both Acute and community setting throughout the NCA. 

You will need to drive the department vehicle to collect spares/equipment as and when required, therefore, a full clean driving licence is desired.

Skills & Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Written and verbal communication skills in order to be able to liaise with staff at all levels of the organisation
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of HTM 07-01
  • Experience in working with Wards and Departments (Stakeholders)
  • Knowledge of Simpler Recycling (Environment Act 2021)

Knowledge, Training & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience in an administrative, clerical or logistics-related role.
  • Experience of working with computerised systems and data entry.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience working in an NHS or healthcare environment.
  • Experience of stock control, ordering systems or logistics processes.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths, or relevant experience.
  • The Postholder must hold a full, valid UK driving licence
