Job overview

The NCA are delighted to offer a full time, post for a Band 2 Ward Clerk to join our friendly, supportive Gynaecology Team at the Royal Oldham Hospital.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated Ward Clerk to be part of a large team of health professionals, who has the ability to meet the challenges of working on a fast gynaecology ward.

Main duties of the job

As a Ward Clerk you will be able to work on your own initiative, managing your own workload as well as being part of a supportive energetic team.  You will be responsible for providing all administrative duties from answering the telephone, updating and ensuring prompt admission and discharges, filing, making case notes and lots more.

Experience of working in the NHS is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.  You must be computer literate desirable to the NHS systems and have excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to approach families in a sensitive manner.
