Trosolwg o'r swydd
The purpose of this post is to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team for
the Early Intervention In Psychosis Team, carrying out full risk assessment,
mental, physical health and social care assessments and specialist psychosis
assessments, identifying clients suitable for the service who meet the criteria for First Episode Psychosis, At Risk Mental States (at risk of 1st episode), to provide short term intervention and treatment as required and to refer on to relevant services clients who do not meet the criteria for EIT.
In line with currently identified best practice within early intervention work and to play an active role in service development supporting the team.

• To act as a Specialist Assessment Coordinator in carrying out
assessments of clients referred to EIT who are suspected as having First
Episode Psychosis.
• To support and supervise junior staff within the team.
• To at times manage and supervise the team.

The Early intervention Team works with people ages 14 -65 experiencing their 1st episode of psychosis or with those who are at risk of developing a psychosis.

Experience

- Significant experience of assessing clients with serious mental illness in Early Intervention Team/Service, Access Service or Community Mental Health
- Experience of teamwork and effective communication at all levels
- Ability to work independently in a community setting
- Experience in the use of psychosis-specific semi-structured interviews (e.g. PANSS; CAARMS; PSYRATS).
- Experience of Tribunal Report attendance and writing
- Knowledge and skill in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care of clients with serious mental illness
- Knowledge of legislation that underpins the care of those with serious mental illness.
- Knowledge of NICE guidance applicable to those with psychosis and schizophrenia.

- Willing to engage in training to meet the needs of the service.
- Use of a car or access to a means of mobility to travel across the Trust footprint in line with service needs
- Willing to carry out all duties and responsibilities of the post in accordance with the Trust’s Equal Opportunities and Equality and Diversity policies
- Appointments to regulated and controlled activities require an enhanced DBS disclosure.
