Job overview

We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised administration apprentice to join our Pharmacy team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience while studying towards a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. To be eligible for the apprenticeship you must have Maths and English 9-5 (A-C) and have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years.  

As part of our team, you'll provide essential administrative support across a busy department while developing the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in administration.

Main duties of the job

We're seeking someone who:

  • Has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office applications
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Is eager to learn and develop new skills
  • Can manage their workload effectively and work to deadlines
  • Takes pride in delivering high-quality customer service

You'll gain hands-on experience in a wide range of administrative tasks, including:

  • Preparing agendas and taking minutes at meetings
  • Creating and formatting documents, reports, graphs and flowcharts
  • Data entry and record management
  • Filing, scanning and photocopying documents
  • Handling incoming and outgoing post
  • Ordering stationery and departmental supplies
  • Supporting the distribution of pharmacy resources and medical textbooks
  • Booking meeting rooms and coordinating meetings
  • Assisting the Senior Leadership Team with administrative support
  • Organising, distributing and recording prescriptions across Trust services
  • Supporting colleagues across the wider Pharmacy department as required
  • Providing general administrative support and undertaking ad hoc duties
