Digital Systems Support & Training Officer

Band 5

Job overview

We are looking to recruit two Digital Systems Support & Training Officers (DiSSTOs) to join our team. The first vacancy has become available following the promotion of the previous post holder and will support the business‑as‑usual Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) functionality within inpatient services.

The second vacancy has arisen to support the implementation of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). Both roles will work within a supportive multi‑disciplinary team made up of Systems Specialists and Clinical staff. These posts are offered on an 18‑month fixed‑term basis.

These positions are not ICT technical roles. They are system support administration roles.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an assessment day as part of the selection process.

Main duties of the job

The Digital Systems Support & Training Officer will be responsible for supporting GMMH systems users with all aspects of systems administration and user training/support.

The role will focus on ensuring that systems users have appropriate support and guidance before, during and after they are given access to GMMH systems.  This will typically involve identifying training needs, determining learning objectives, developing training materials and planning/delivering training to users.

The role will also involve certain system administration/maintenance duties in close liaison with IM&T colleagues, end users and staff within services.
