Job Overview: Domestic Assistant – Riverside Centre
We are expanding our dedicated Domestic Services team across Greater Manchester and are seeking a caring, compassionate, and hardworking individual to join us.
Location: Prestwich Hospital
Position: X 1 Domestic Assistant
Hours: 30 Hours per week
Purpose of the Role:
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within the hospital & office areas, ensuring compliance with infection control standards and supporting the well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning duties in patient areas, staff rooms, offices, and communal spaces in line with hospital standards.
- Regularly clean and disinfect surfaces, floors, and sanitary facilities.
- Safely handle waste disposal in accordance with infection control and clinical waste protocols.
- Replenish essential supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies when working in patient areas.
- Comply with health and safety regulations, including correct use of PPE and COSHH guidelines.
Important Information:
This role is not eligible for sponsorship unless you meet criteria under temporary exemptions introduced on 22/07/2025. Separate provisions apply to workers who have held a Skilled Worker visa continuously since before 04/04/2024.
Main duties of the job

- Adhere to confidentiality and safeguarding policies when working in patient areas.
- Comply with health and safety regulations, including the use of PPE and COSHH guidelines.
Experience not essential as full training will be given.
