Aim of the role
To enhance the service by supporting the Educate team with administration and organisational tasks. Supporting the development, delivery and evaluation of the training/education sessions offered by Educate.

Main duties of the job
What the role involes:
· To give general administrative, organsational and technological support related to the team and sessions offered by Educate
· To support and assist staff in the development and delivery of sesions offered
· Encourage and motivate attendees to participate in and maintain attendance at the group.
· To support the maintenance of information on the service and other relevant services i.e. information leaflets, literature and session forms.
DBS Level for this role is: Standard

- Experience and/or knowledge of administration processes
- Computer skills and experience of Microsoft software
- Patience & a Caring Nature
- Good communication skills.

Travel and attendance requirements
To support a positive and sustainable volunteering experience including reducing unnecessary travel wherever possible, applicants are asked to consider their ability to travel to and attend their placement on a regular basis.
Where travel distances are significant in relation to the time commitment required, this may affect the suitability of the placement and the progression of an application. In such cases, applicants may be encouraged to explore opportunities closer to home and applications may not be progressed to shortlisting.

Please be aware that due to the robust process, recruitment can sometimes take a few weeks.
Throughout the process you will have informal meetings with us and the service where you will be volunteering. In addition to this we will require you to:
- Complete an identity (ID) check
- Complete a Disclosure and Barring Service* (DBS) check,
- Complete an Occupational health assessment
- Give details for two references
- Complete relevant training.

DBS checks for volunteers are free and the level of check is dependent on the role you are undertaking.

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
