Job overview
A full-time 37.5 hours opportunity has arisen to ensure all reception processes are carried out in a timely and accurate manner to ensure an efficient reception and quality service to all users.
The post holder will be interactive with the General Public, Nursing, Medical staff and other Trust Administrative and Clerical Staff.
Main duties of the job
- Attend, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
- You need to have the confidence to speak face to face or over the telephone to deal with the patient’s needs, this can include booking appointments.
- To use and access Patient Centre and be able to attend patients on reception desks.
- Book appointments for patients as and when required.
- Deal with enquires of a sensitive nature.
- Attend Departmental meetings as and when required.
- Access Patient Administration System when required to accurately record and collect patient data, ensuring errors are clearly identified and corrected including patient demographics.
- Coordinate clinic prep and various admin tasks to support running of clinical activity.

Knowledge, Training & Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience in undertaking a full range of office management to improve service efficiency and effectiveness
- Experience of using Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience of successfully working within tight time frames and to deadlines.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of using NHS Trust specific data systems such as Patient Administration System (PAS), Openeyes
- Previous NHS experience
Skills & Abilities

- Advanced Keyboard Skills
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
