Job overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and adaptable qualified Occupational Therapist to join our varied rotation that covers the following settings: 

Discharge to Assess 

Intermediate Care in- patient beds - Ascot House

Equipment and Adaptations - OT assessment team, Partington health centre

Community Rehabilitation

Community based Neuro /Stroke rehabilitation

In patient setting  - Trafford General Hospital (orthopaedic and general medical)

Rapid MDT pathway 3 team

 

Main duties of the job

Rotations are for six months.

Support and encouragement to develop is provided via a band 5 support group, regular supervision, in service training and monthly Occupational Therapy meetings.

The post holder will provide occupational therapy to a community caseload of patients, in a variety of settings within the trafford footprint.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Range of experience in physical OT settings
  • Documented evidence of continuing professional development

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Clinical knowledge base of physhological, physical illhealth and recovery
  • Knowledge and application of the OT Process
Desirable criteria
  • Awareness of clinical governance including audit
  • Experience within a mental health setting

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work single handed with groups and individuals
