Job overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and adaptable qualified Occupational Therapist to join our varied rotation that covers the following settings:
Discharge to Assess
Intermediate Care in- patient beds - Ascot House
Equipment and Adaptations - OT assessment team, Partington health centre
Community Rehabilitation
Community based Neuro /Stroke rehabilitation
In patient setting - Trafford General Hospital (orthopaedic and general medical)
Rapid MDT pathway 3 team
Main duties of the job
Rotations are for six months.
Support and encouragement to develop is provided via a band 5 support group, regular supervision, in service training and monthly Occupational Therapy meetings.
The post holder will provide occupational therapy to a community caseload of patients, in a variety of settings within the trafford footprint.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
Experience
Essential criteria
- Range of experience in physical OT settings
- Documented evidence of continuing professional development
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Clinical knowledge base of physhological, physical illhealth and recovery
- Knowledge and application of the OT Process
Desirable criteria
- Awareness of clinical governance including audit
- Experience within a mental health setting
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
- Use of functional assessment tools and activity analysis
- Ability to work single handed with groups and individuals
- Ability to understand and apply policies and procedures
