CCR Administrator

Band 3

Job overview

As the administrator for the Centre for Clinical and Care Research (CCR) at the Northern Care Alliance (NCA) you will be responsible for supporting the work of the CCR Team in building research capacity and capability amongst the health and care professional workforce across the NCA.

The CCR is virtual so the majority of time the successful candidate will be working from home, but there will be a requirement to be on site 1 day a week and an occasional requirement to travel to other locations within the NCA to support the work of the CCR.

The requirements of the role are varied, allowing for continual personal development in a wide variety of areas. Support and training will be provided to facilitate this.

Main duties of the job

This  role incorporates varied administrative tasks to support the work of the CCR and its team. These include responding to email enquiries to the Centre, calendar management to facilitate meetings both within the Centre and with outside organisations, and assisting the preparation of reports.

Good literacy skills are essential for the role. Alongside these, oral communication skills must be effective as there will be occasions where you will be asked to plan and deliver information, engagement and training sessions, either face to face or online.

As the main focus of the CCR is about promotion, engagement and support to individuals starting or continuing their clinical research journey, enthusiasm and willingness are essential for this role.

Working for our organisation

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester.  Our 20,000 colleagues care for people in hospital and in the community, working across Bury, Rochdale, Oldham and Salford, to save and improve lives.

As a large NHS trust we are committed to enhancing the health of our local population by delivering consistently high standards of care and working closely with local authorities and key partners. We believe in our power and potential to make a difference and we’re always looking for people who demonstrate our three core values - care, appreciate and inspire – to join our team.

In return, we can offer you a job role with purpose and flexibility. The size and scale of the NCA means we can provide more challenge and opportunities so your career can always be moving in the right direction. By joining us you can also access a competitive benefits package, including, a fantastic annual leave allowance, flexible working opportunities and protected hours for health and wellbeing activities, helping you to achieve more personal downtime and a better work-life balance.
