Job overview
We are recruiting for full time role 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate must be flexible to cover various shifts which could include days, evenings, weekends, and bank holiday if required.
We are looking to recruit a hardworking, enthusiastic individual to join our Domestic Services Team located at Salford Royal Hospital
The successful post holder will be part of a team working within our Estates & Facilities department, offering a high quality, flexible and customer focused service. A Domestic Team Manager is an important member of the team who helps provide a range of duties across the hospital in a professional manner.

Main duties of the job
- You will ensure the day-to-day domestic work is carried out effectively by the domestic team and manage and reorganise the work of team members schedules taking into account unforeseen circumstances i.e., sickness absence.
- You will also assist and provide a full cleaning service to sterile areas, offices and departments in accordance with work schedules and activity within the area

- NVQ L4 or equivalent experience in supervising large staff groups
Skills
Essential criteria
- Demonstrates ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and to work without direct supervision
- Basic IT / keyboard skills
Experience

- Experience of working in a team and independently
- Experience of supervising domestic staff in a hospital /care setting
- Previous domestic experience in a hospital/care setting
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Demonstrates knowledge of cleaning methods and protocols
- Demonstrates knowledge of infection control, Health and Safety and COSHH policies
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
