Job overview

We are looking for an intern Administrator who is currently studying an undergraduate Bachelor Degree in Politics and International Relations for a period of 9 months to support REACHE. 

As an intern administrator you will support REACHE with reviewing policies and procedures to support our members.  

You will need excellent communication and organisational skills, along with the ability to build relationships. A strong understanding of UK politics, national policy development and a basic understanding of legal framework.

REACHE does not offer sponsorship. 

Main duties of the job

To create and review REACHE policies and standard procedure for members.

To support the Team Leader with administrative duties.

To be punctual and flexible to cover absences and events.

REACHE is not-for-profit hosted organisation based in the NCA that trains refugee and asylum-seeking doctors and nurses to pass their GMC registration and find work in the NHS. The programme provides training and resources for members to pass their OET, PLAB 1 and PLAB 2 exams, alongside organising placements and acculturation days.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • 5 GCSE (English / Maths) or equivalent
  • Business Administration e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
  • Studying a Bachelor Degree in Politics
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL Qualification or equivalent
  • Bachelor Degree in Politics

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Extensive administration / clerical duties or customer service experience
  • Significant data entry experience
  • Experience of using Microsoft packages (Excel, word, Outlook and Teams) and Zoom
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working with vulnerable individuals
  • Knowledge of REACHE and how the role fits within
