Specialist Occupational Therapist - Neurorehabilitation Rotation

Band 6

Job overview

Are you an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) ready to expand your skills in neuro rehabilitation.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 OT to join our, neuro rehabilitation teams. This is a limited rotational post across our hyper acute, acute, and Intermediate Neurorehabilitation services giving you the opportunity to develop specialist skills across the full rehabilitation in-patient pathway. Our hyper acute and acute services are based at Salford Royal Hospital, close to the centre of Manchester and our Intermediate Neurorehabilitation unit is a standalone unit located in Rochdale, northeast of Manchester.  The flexibility to travel across sites is therefore required.

You'll be working with a diverse caseload delivering highly specialist patient centred care to individuals with a range of complex neurological conditions including patients with TBI, ABI and Spinal cord injury as well as patients with Persistent Disorders of Consciousness (PDoC).

You’ll be part of an expanding in-patient Neuro OT network working across the 4 Neuro rehab units operated by the Northern Care Alliance (NCA) with close links with the remaining OTs at the INRU in Trafford.  You will also have close contact with the extended OT neuro and trauma OT’s operating from Salford Royal. The opportunities for support, advice training and development is therefore extensive.

If you are interested in this role then please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
