Social Worker (Adults) - Adult Community Mental Health

Job overview

Three permanent vacancies  have arisen for Social Workers to be based at Prescott House Adult Community Mental Health Team.

Social Work England registration is required.

You will be a qualified Social Worker (AMHP is desirable, not essential). We are looking for an experienced mental health social worker who has high professional standards and the ability to work well with colleagues in a multi disciplinary setting.

The posts are permanent, Monday to Friday with Acute Care Pathway outside of core hours for weekends and bank holidays on a rota system.

These positions are open to recently qualified social workers as well as experienced social workers. You will be supported by our social work team to develop your skills and experience within the field of mental health social work.

Newly qualified social workers will be supported to complete the ASYE program with the support of experienced social workers within the team. You will be offered regular line management and clinical supervision.

Staff wellbeing is important at Prescott House and we offer regular social work peer support groups, reflective practice groups, mindfulness and other team activities

Main duties of the job

Care co-ordination in line with the Care Program Approach.

Completing and updating risk assessments.Working in line with the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Mental Health Act (1983).Assessment, support planning, reviews and safeguarding within the meaning of the Care Act 2014.Multidisciplinary working.

Demonstrating anti discriminatory practice and promoting the rights of vulnerable adults.

Demonstrating excellent organisation and communication skills.

Demonstrating an ability to collate information and write reports of a standard fit for legal processes such as Mental Health Tribunal's and Hospital Managers Hearings.

Fulfilling the duties of an Approved Mental Health Professional / Best Interests Assessor or being willing to work towards gaining the associated qualifications.
