Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of Senior Clinical Fellow for the Urology service at Salford Care Organisation .
This is a 12 month post in Urology.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant must have full registration with the GMC and continue to hold a Licence to Practise.
The post would provide an excellent training opportunity for a doctor looking to increase their exposure in urology and develop their CV in order to facilitate their entry to specialty training, or for a more senior doctor wishing to consolidate their experience. We have an excellent track record in helping doctors to build their experience and portfolio and move on to specialty training or towards CESR.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Primary medical qualification (MB ChB or equivalent)
- MRCS
Desirable criteria
- Other postgraduate qualification
Professional Registration
Essential criteria
- Registration with General Medical Council and licence to practice
Knowledge, Training & Experience
Essential criteria
- At least 1 year of urology experience (whole or part time) at core trainee or registrar level
Research and teaching
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of peer reviewed publications or presentation Evidence of teaching
Skills & Abilities
Essential criteria
- Understanding the responsibilities of team working and effective leadership
- Ability to work within a team
- Ability to communicate and effectively with patients, relatives and colleagues
Desirable criteria
- Participation in appraisal or an appraisal course
- Attendance at communication skills course

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
