Biobank Technician (Biomedical Scientist) - Research and Innovation

Applications are invited from motivated, dynamic biomedical scientists for these exciting and busy posts.
Two qualified Biomedical Scientists are being sought to provide split cover between the hours of 8am and 7pm Monday - Friday. You will ensure the smooth collection, processing, storage and management of tissue samples from neurosciences patients for the Northern Care Alliance Research Collection (NCARC). NCARC is an ethically approved tissue bank, obtaining consent from patients for the storage and use of excess diagnostic and clinical tissue for research.
You will involve working closely with clinicians, operating theatre staff, laboratory staff and research staff.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
