This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality soft FM services and leading dedicated in-house domestic teams across the Stockport locality. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring services consistently meet the requirements of the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021, maintaining safe, clean environments for service users, patients, visitors, and staff while supporting Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) standards.

The postholder will be primarily based at Stepping Hill Hospital but will be required to travel to other sites across the South locality as needed.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 06:00 to 14:00
  • Participation in the South locality weekend supervisor rota, working 1 in every 5 weekends covering Stockport and Tameside sites.
  • When working a weekend, Thursday and Friday of that week will be designated rest days.

This role would suit an individual with strong supervisory skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service quality within a healthcare environment.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the postholder include the supervision of the in-house Facilities Assistants (Domestic) and cleaning services across Stepping Hill Hospital. The postholder will be responsible for the completion of staff rotas to ensure there is always sufficient cover to deliver the standards set in the NHS National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021 and other standard operating procedures.

The postholder will be expected to carry out regular spot checks of the environment, including estates jobs as required, supervisor audits and overall supervision of the sites to ensure that the soft facilities management (FM) services meet the requirements of our staff and service users.

Working for our organisation

The postholder will be joining the facilities team which is within the Capital Investment and Estates Services department at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, delivering all soft FM services across the Trust.
