Main duties of the job

The main duties for the successful applicants are wide ranging and in brief cover the following :

To be part of the team involved in maintaining the extremely high standards of hygiene within the department following departmental cleaning sheets and guidelines.

To serve on the patient conveyor belt making up patient food orders.

To deliver patient food trolleys to the wards.

To serve within the staff visitor outlets including the tills.

To assist making up salads and sandwiches as required.

To assist working on the dish washer.

To carry out any general food prep or cleaning around the site as required by the management team.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Hours of work are 2.5 hour shifts with a 15 minute break between the hours of 7:25am and 10:10am Monday to Sunday on a rota basis.

  • NVQ 1 Customer Service
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate

Knowledge
