Stockport Foundation Trust
We are seeking to recruit a Band 3 Health Care Assistant for the District Nursing Service based at Stopford House Stockport. Hours of work are between 8am and 6pm over 7 days, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
We are looking for a flexible an innovative support worker. The post holder requires good organisational skills, interpersonal skills and to be a team player. Experience of working in a caring role would be an advantage. Duties include:
- The administration of eye drops to patients with chronic eye conditions.
- Application of non-medicated cream to patients as directed by a GP
- Prompting medication to patients including insulin administration.
- Assisting senior staff in clinical procedures or end of life care.
- Providing wound care to patients in their own homes.
As a HCAyou will work autonomously, or alongside a trained nurse or team member. You will need to be a car driver and mileage allowance is paid.
This will be part of the District Nursing Team that delivers care to all patients at home throughout the Stockport area. The post holder will also be an integral part of the wider district nursing team and may require differing working hours at times to meet the needs of the patient and service.
