Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join the clerical team in the Health Records Department at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.
You will be responsible for providing a full clerical support service within the Health Records Department. The main focus of the role will be undertaking all process within the Clinic preparation and reception Team. Training in other areas of the department will be provided to support the whole Health Records service
Computer literacy and experience in the accurate inputting of data is an essential requirement for this post as are organisational skills . Methodical method of working and a keen eye for detail is crucial to this role.
Being flexible and adaptable to change is crucial to this particular role.
Training on in-house information systems however, will be provided.
Main duties of the job
To assist with the operation of Health Records Services across all areas of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.
The main focus of this role is to provide excellent patient care on our very busy outpatient reception areas around the Trust. To prepare clinics accurately and in a timely manner.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide reception cover in multiple outpatient areas
- Prepare Clinics
- Answer Telephone enquiries
- File case note folders

• If successful this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £26.50. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
