Stockport Foundation Trust is one of four ‘specialist’ hospital sites in Greater Manchester. Being a ‘specialist’ hospital will enhance our general surgery, anaesthetics, critical care and emergency medicine for the benefit of people in Stockport, High Peak, Cheshire and across Greater Manchester.

Start Well Team Leader - Health  Visiting and Early Years

Band 7

37.5  HOURS PER WEEK 

You will be working in a fully integrated Start Well team with restorative practice at its heart. 

 Team Leaders are an integral part of Start well, leading developments alongside the Family Hub Neighbourhood Lead and managing a range of Start Well staff.

You will work collaboratively with Start Well Team Leaders and Family Help Team Leaders to deliver an integrated Start Well and Early help service.

  • To provide leadership and day to day line management of an integrated team of staff within a neighbourhood in the Stockport Family Service.
  • To work collaboratively and creatively with settings and other agencies to deliver interventions in support of high quality outcomes for children, young people and their families.
  •  To work with the Neighbourhood Lead and Start Well Team Leaders to ensure the effective delivery of the Start Well plan, Healthy Child Programme and key service priorities.

• To provide training, support and supervision related to electronic recording systems across Stockport Family.

• To work in partnership with the leadership team in identifying, managing and supporting learning related to risk within the service.

You will be responsible for patient care with the oversight of Start well Team/s,  and vacant caseloads

You will contribute to policy and practice development through pathways and evidence based practice, ensuring the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, relevant strategies and GM Early Years delivery model.

You will identify areas that require development and improvement and be solution focused to contribute to solutions.

You will be responsible for human resource line managing a number of staff. You will utilise clinical supervision and follow HR policy and procedure.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trust’s policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately.

If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £54.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary

In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.

Experience

  • Significant experience at Band 6 or equivalent.
  • Experience of child and adult safeguarding work.
  • Experience of Team and Staff development and providing clinical supervision to staff
  • Evidence of robust Continuous professional development and partnership working
  • Participation in audit in practice

  • Demonstrate experience of research in practice and mentorship or coaching
  • Experience of delivering safeguarding supervision and leading or contributing to evidence-based practice.
