Job overview

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust are recruiting for a consultant in Intensive Care Medicine (+/- another specialty) to join the friendly and forward thinking team of  12 intensive care consultants.

 

Main duties of the job

Candidates who are unable, for personal reasons, to work full-time are eligible to apply and, if successful, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis, in consultation with consultant colleagues.

Applicants must  be fully registered with the GMC and hold a license to practice. Applicants must have entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within six months of the interview date), CESR or European Community Rights. Interested candidates with a proposed CCT date beyond six months are still advised to apply for the post as further appointments are envisaged in the near future.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Essential Requirements 

Full registration with the General Medical Council, and to be named on the specialist register within 6 months of interview

MBChB

FICM or equivalent

Fellowship in parent specialty where appropriate

Formal postgraduate training in medical education and medical leadership

ALS

   If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £54.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary

In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.
