Job overview
We are looking for a highly motivated experienced Operational Manager to support the Directorate Manager – Trauma & Orthopaedics within an exciting portfolio.
The post will support the Directorate Manager and offer the successful individual an opportunity to utilise leadership skills within identified projects. It will offer the individual growth and development within a health care setting.

Main duties of the job
- Supporting the Directorate Manager in the operational delivery and performance management of National and local performance targets and objectives. Support the development and improvement of its clinical and administrative services. This will include specific responsibility and accountability for certain aspects of performance
- Supporting service improvement through analysis of data and undertaking capacity and demand analysis of services to support delivery of targets for the Directorate and overall Division
- Manage the Assistant Directorate Support Manager within the service and support teams within the Directorate.
- Management of the Assistant Directorate Support manager and any other delegated management, ensuring service objectives are met by the specialty teams.
- Planning to ensure that all elements of service provision are considered and organised to enable capacity to be maximised. This requires a structured approach to ensure that short-falls are identified in advance to enable mitigating action in a timely and organised manner, and also flexibility to respond to changes in circumstances
