Job overview
Ward D6 is a busy surgical day case and pre operative admissions unit. We have on average 50-60 patients per day.
We are a very busy unit but our team is very welcoming. If you are looking for a new challenge then this could be your role.
Main duties of the job
Booking patients to the ward on the ward booking system.
Welcoming patients to the ward and admitting them.
Prepping notes ready for admissions.
Filing - tracking and ordering of medical case notes.
Answering queries not only over the phone but in person as well.
Helping the multidisciplinary team with the information they require.
Ordering of office supplies and ward supplies.
The post holder must have good experience of IT systems.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
We are looking for someone who is very organised and able to prioritise their workload.
The post holder must be efficient, adaptable, approachable and professional.
You will be working in a small team but we are looking for someone who is also confident working on their own and using their own initiative.
The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trust’s policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately.
If successful this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £26.50. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
