Job overview
An exciting training opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual passionate about Dermatology to join our friendly and supportive team of nurses and Consultants at MFT as a band 6.
The successful candidate will work primarily within Dermatology OPD . They will work along side consultants and ACP's who will support and provide training on a list of conditions including eczema, psoriasis, medication management and they will also work alongside the team at the dermatology hub at Altrincham Hospital which provides an AI / one stop service. The successful candidate will be expected to run nurse led clinics to support the service. They also deputise for the nursing manager when required.
We are looking for a motivated candidate who shares our vision and is willing to support and mentor junior staff and students, and assist the wider team in the development and expansion of our dermatology clinical services.
This is a part time post (30 hours per week) and the successful candidate would be expected to work Monday to Friday. This role requires the candidate to work at the four sites of WTWA (Withington Community Hospital, Trafford General Hospital, Wythenshawe Hospital and Altrincham Hospital).
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to act as a role model to all team members in the delivery of a high standard of specialist research-based care.
The post holder will be trained to within the dermatology service. The post holder will assess plan, implement and evaluate the care for these patients and be able to make informed decisions within their own area.
They will provide direct patient care and have detailed clinical knowledge of the specialist areas.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- First level registration RGN / RN Adult
- Degree or evidence of Level 6 studies / pathway towards Degree or relevant experience
- Evidence of continued professional development.
Desirable criteria
- Management/Leadership qualification
- Relevant dermatology qualifications
- Non-Medical Prescriber or willingness to undertake
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experience post registration at band 5 level or above within relevant speciality.
- Experience of multiprofessional working.
- Experience mentoring/supervising others
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of audit / research activities

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
