We are looking for a developing and motivational nurse leader to support the delivery of safe and effective care on Bronte Ward and to support our service development plan.
You will have the opportunity to be able to support a team of nurses and support workers through supervision and appraisals to ensure that they are supported in their clinical and professional development.
The role ensures you are able to develop your management and leadership skills whilst still working directly with service users, holding a case load of patients as primary nurse.
Through close working with the ward manager you will be able to ensure you are involved and leading on areas of service and clinical development.
You will be able to work alongside the senior clinical leadership team made up of Senior Practitioners, Doctors, Advanced Practitioner, Psychologist, Occupational Therapists and Pharmacists to ensure a robust MDT to support decision making and clinical care.
You will have opportunities to deputise for the ward manager and will be supported through the appraisal process to ensure that you develop in the role and be supported in your future career aspirations.
Main duties of the job
To assist the Ward Manager in providing Leadership and Operational Management to a Ward ensuring the provision of quality nursing care to all service users on the ward/department. The post holder will assess, plan and implement care, and provide specialist nursing advice and carry out specialist nursing procedures in the agreed care group. They will provide clinical and managerial leadership to junior staff, providing supervision to junior staff and students.
