Job overview

Data Science and clinical intelligence are revolutionising healthcare, offering opportunities for continuous clinical improvement as well as more personalised care. In this senior role, you will lead on the delivery and continued improvement of MFT’s data management platform and services.

We’ll look to your expertise in developing and expanding our data platforms, with a particular focus on our Trust data warehouse (Epic Caboodle) . You will also lead on the specification and development of  dataflows, models, automation, and reports, ensuring we deliver a first-class service to the Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to gain experience in one of the largest Trusts in Europe with Epic EPR. 

  • On-site working (Trafford House, Wythenshawe) will be required in some form.

The assessment process for this role includes Sphinx testing which an aptitude assessment designed to evaluate critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.

Main duties of the job

Skills required

Along with technical and analytical skills, extensive experience of developing and pipelining within Epic Caboodle is essential. Epic Caboodle and Clarity Certifications are expected.

 

This is a senior developer role, leading in the development, maintenance, and continued improvement of the Trust data management platforms and services used by Data Analytics and the wider organisation.  You will  lead on the specification and development of datasets, data flows, models, processes, and dashboards across multiple areas and clinical services to enable Data & Analytics to deliver a first class, comprehensive and proactive service to the Trust.

Essential criteria
  • Masters’ degree or equivalent qualification and / or relevant experience
Desirable criteria
  • Microsoft Data Platform Certifications

Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Implementation of enterprise scale data warehousing and data lake solutions (1 - Limited, 3 - Substantial DWH but limited/no Caboodle, 5 - Substantial with Caboodle)
  • Substantial NHS experience and knowledge of Acute, Community, and Mental Health Trust NHS data sets, standards, and returns
  • CI/CD development practices, agile methodology, and DevOps
  • Cloud data management – ingestion, transformation, orchestration, compute, and modelling
