An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic and forward thinking Financial Management team working within Hosted Services to cove a period of maternity leave.

This role require a high level of commitment and enthusiasm with effective time management, attention to detail and be able to work to tight deadlines within a fast paced environment. A flexible working attitude is essential as you will need the ability to prioritise your work as well as working as part of the wider team.

You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written as you will liaise with managers of all levels across the Trust, clinical & non-clinical and with internal and external stakeholders.
Supporting the Lead Accountant- Productivity & Partnerships, you will assist the team in providing a comprehensive financial support service to our Hosted services


 

 

Main duties of the job

Start Date will be mid-March 2026
Interview Date will be mid to end January 2026

 

You will provide high quality, accurate and timely financial management information and advice, including month end reporting, budget setting and complex queries

The ability to work to tight deadlines and manage a diverse workload is essential. A practical, proactive and flexible approach is essential to
successful performance within the role, as is the ability to work with spreadsheets and finance systems

 

Support the Lead Accountant- Productivity & Partnerships by leading on a number of specific project type areas within their over all portfolio.

Ensure the service areas receive a high standard of finance support to support their business activities.

Manage the service areas and business units as appropriate, being responsible for co-ordinating all aspects of financial activity, both financial management and financial services related to understand the full range of finance activity within the area.

Manage the portfolio of cost centres aligned to these business activities providing both the Trust management and partners with appropriate, accurate and timely financial information.

Support the delivery of financial plans and budgets within these specific areas.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • AAT qualifed or Graduate
  • CCAB Qualified or currently studying for a CCAB qualification with significant Managements Accounts experience
Desirable criteria
  • Financial Accounts experience

Substantive Employment

Essential criteria
  • Current employee of a LAASP organisation

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential criteria
  • Excellent analysis skills
  • Computer literate to include spreadsheet, databases and indepth financial knowledge
  • Demonstrated numeracy and literacy skills
  • Knowledge and practical experience of operating integrated financial systems
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of the Oracle Integrated Financial system

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of delivering a complete high quality management accounts service
  • Experience of producing monthly financial reporting in a complex organisation
  • Experience of developing business cases, providing financial expertise, costing and input
