Job overview

We are looking to recruit a Terminology & Classifications Delivery Service Approved Clinical Coding Auditor to contribute to our inhouse coding audit and quality assurance programme.  You will work alongside our existing Auditors and Trainer to ensure that our clinical coding accuracy reflects clinical activity at the Trust, providing confidence and assurance in the coded data.

This is a full time position based at Clatterbridge Hospital with support for hybrid working and flexibility with working times to support work-life balance.

This role includes an RRP of 7%.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have responsibility for the delivery of a comprehensive audit programme to the Trusts' Clinical Coding Team.  They will ensure that clinical coding accuracy reflects all national rules, conventions and datasets, keeping abreast if national clinical coding developments and cascading this knowledge to the Clinical Coding Team.  They will assist in the mentoring of new staff and in the development of the training programme for staff.
