Job overview
The Facilities Department are looking to recruit a number of hard working enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly and dynamic Cleanliness Service Team at Clatterbridge Hospital.

The role of Healthcare Cleaning Professional is to support the smooth day to day operational running of our Hospital through achieving excellent cleaning standards that will provide a clean and safe healthcare environment that meets our patient's expectations.
Part time Healthcare Cleaning Professional shifts, and hours are available:
3pm - 7pm Monday to Friday - 20hrs per week x 2
4pm - 7pm Monday to Friday - 15hrs per week x 2
4pm - 8pm Monday to Friday - 20hrs per week
5pm - 8pm Monday to Friday - 15hrs per week x 2
There will be a requirement to work Bank Holidays.
Main duties of the job
Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming hospital environment. Duties include:

Carrying out general baseline cleaning tasks, such as mopping, vacuuming, damp dusting, cleaning toilets and bathrooms, and serving beverages to patients.

Completing specialised cleaning duties as required, including infection prevention and control cleaning.

Working flexibly across all areas of the hospital, adapting to changing priorities and workload demands.

Demonstrating strong customer service skills, being friendly, approachable, reliable, and managing time effectively.

Showing awareness of Infection Prevention and Control practices within a healthcare setting.

Displaying the core capabilities and behaviours expected of the role, with a passion for delivering a high‑quality service.
Experience: Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided to ensure you gain the knowledge and skills needed to become a competent Healthcare Cleaning Professional.
Uniform: A full uniform will be provided.
