Main duties of the job

The post-holder will contribute to the delivery of both inpatient and outpatient cardiology services at Aintree Hospital.

They will attend two to three consultant-led outpatient clinics per week and will be actively involved in daily morning ward rounds and the ongoing management of inpatients as part of the cardiology registrar team.

In addition, the post includes up to two non-clinical sessions per week dedicated to educational development. These may focus on cardiac imaging—subject to departmental availability—or be tailored to the candidate’s specific interests in cardiology subspecialties. Alternatively, this time can be used to support audit, research, or broader professional development.
