At Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital we have a team of established volunteers who do “ordinary things in an extraordinary way”.

We are looking to recruit volunteers into various roles across our hospital to support our patients, which include:

• Meet and Greet Volunteers
• Ward Volunteers
• Outpatient Department Volunteers
• Volunteers to enhance the mealtime experience
• Friendly Visit Volunteers
• Mobile Trolley Service
• Chaplaincy Support

Volunteers play an important part in our service and care delivery. Their hard work, dedication and friendliness enhance the patient and family experience. Our volunteers provide extra support to patients, their families and staff.

Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
