Job overview
The catering department at Liverpool University Hospitals is an exciting place to work.
We feed all of the patients but also have modern retail units. We try to bring the high street into the hospital by offering modern concepts to staff and visitors.
All the outlets are very busy and we want you to encourage sales. These posts are very rewarding jobs.
We are looking for staff who are self motivated and can work in a team or on their own unsupervised. We require staff who are flexible and open to change to join our catering team. These positions will be based in a busy hospital, you may be moved as the needs of the service requires, also you may be required to work Bank holidays including Christmas Day. You may be required to work on other sites.

A coffee shop based in the main entrance of Aintree hospital
The position involves food preparation, making hot drinks, cleaning , customer care, cash handling, stocking shelves and stock rotation

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Although the jobs are primarily based in the unit advertised, you may be required to work anywhere within the catering department depending on the needs of the service. This could include the Royal site & Broadgreen. This could also include working in the patients kitchen.
IT skills are required for all positions as the Trust does mandatory training and yearly appraisals online.
