Liverpool University Hospitals foundation Trust - Royal Liverpool Hospital site is looking for a Deputy Endoscopy Manager. 

Minimum of 2 years Endoscopy experience required 

The post holder will work without direct supervision and will take charge of the Endoscopy unit in the absence of the department manager, who holds continuing responsibility. 

Key responsibilities will include the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, effective leadership and staff management/development. The post holder will always work within the NMC’s Code of Professional Conduct.

 

Main duties of the job

Co-ordination of the Endoscopy department on a day to day basis including planning, allocation and evaluation of work carried out by teams or individuals and self. 

Provide specialist knowledge to all Nursing staff on the department

To promote a critical, analytical approach to the delivery of nursing care ensuring that the department environment is responsive to current issues. 

In support of the department manager, deputy endoscopy manager will assist in the review and update of procedures and protocols relating to the care of patients. 

Develop methods for identifying, maintaining and improving the quality of patient care through facilitation of best practice and clinical benchmarking.

Ensure due regard is given to the customs, values and spiritual beliefs of patients/clients.

Explore and undertake expanded practice to optimise patient care as required within specialist area, in accordance with Trust policies.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking senior nurse who has  a passion for quality and safety and the drive and commitment to aim to get it right for every patient every time.

You should be a Registered Nurse with demonstrable  experience . You should have a keen interest in providing high quality; harm free, patient centred care in a busy, fast paced, ever changing and often challenging environment.

For this role you will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and possess the ability to lead the team effectively and safely  in the absence of the Unit Manager .

Minimum of 2 years Endoscopy experience required 

As a band 6 you must display a positive and professional manner, have a non-judgmental attitude, and be open to change.

  • Post registration qualification in speciality
