We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Occupational Therapist to contribute to the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based interventions that support the health, wellbeing, and sustainable return to work of our staff.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of our multidisciplinary Occupational Health team, you will work autonomously while benefiting from the guidance and support of senior Occupational Health professionals.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Your role will focus on:
- Delivering group-based functional restoration programmes
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of functional capacity, including physical, cognitive, and psychological components
- Supporting staff across our Trust, as well as those employed by partner NHS and private sector organisations

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Relevant first degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- Registered with HCPC
Desirable criteria
- Postgraduate training in vocational rehabilitation, CBT approaches, or ergonomics
Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable experience in occupational health, vocational rehabilitation, or a related clinical setting.
- Proven ability to assess and report on fitness to work and recommend workplace adjustments
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in Occupational health in the NHS or other public sector organisations.
- Familiarity with NHS occupational health systems and reporting structures.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Strong understanding of functional restoration principles and their application in group and individual settings.
- Ability to interpret information and to present information to diverse groups.
- Manage conflicting priorities.
- Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance.
