Job overview
We have a highly regarded Aseptic Production Unit (APU) at the Trust and we moved into our brand new facility in 2023.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual with significant experience in aseptic services. You will work closely with the other Operational Services Managers to help steer the team at the production unit. You will support & facilitate the production activity of the APU.
Your input will be vital , ensuring that quality is at the centre of everything we do for our patients across the NHS and private healthcare settings.
You must have the required qualification, registration and have experience of working in Aseptic Services.
Main duties of the job
As an Operational Services Manager in Aseptics you will need to deliver and maintain on a day-to-day basis, the manufacturing services, in line with resources and service demands.
Ensure that activities and records relating to the monitoring and validation of the environment, equipment processes and staff performance are correctly carried out.
Work in conjunction with the Assistant Director - Manufacturing Services and the Quality Assurance team, to ensure that aseptic dispensing and manufacturing is carried out in compliance with current legislation (as regulated by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency- MHRA) and standards following the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- BTEc in Pharmaceutical Sciences and NVQ 3 in Pharmacy services or equivalent. Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Aseptic Preparation and Dispensing of Medicines Course (APDM)
- Accredited Technical Checker
- A1 NVQ Assessor ((willingness to achieve a qualification at this level)
Desirable criteria
- Technical Qualification – Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance (PTQA)
Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable experience in aseptic services licensed manufacturing activities
- General Hospital Pharmacy
- Good range of Aseptic dispensing experience (CIVAS, TPN & Cytotoxic)
- Environmental monitoring data experience
- Proven record in service, staffing, resource management
- Proven record in management of change
