Job overview
• Work under the direction of the Business and Legal Manager to ensure all research within the Trust is undertaken in accordance with the Department of Health’s Research Governance Framework (DH 2001), the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations (SI 1031/2004 and later amendments) and other relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Validate research visit data against funding contracts and raise appropriate invoice to external stakeholders.
• Effective liaison with researchers, sponsors and clinical research organisations to facilitate income recovery.
• Administration of the financial aspects of research contracts, income recovery and supporting the research teams where applicable.
• Administration support for the Research Business Team.
Main duties of the job
• To facilitate raising of invoices for research and innovation activity undertaken by the Trust.
• Support the Research Business Team as required.
• Process, track and store payment request forms for research patient inconvenience payments, research patient travel expense payments, physician locum payments and General Practitioner Questionnaire payments.
• In conjunction with Research & Innovation colleagues be responsible for ensuring the department is prepared for external regulatory inspections / assessments e.g. MHRA and the Trust's responses to any such inspections.
