Detailed job description and main responsibilities

main responsibilities include providing education, advice and monitoring for patients with a wide range of rheumatological autoimmune diseases.

·         On-going surveillance and efficacy assessment of disease management with appropriate medical intervention.

·         Undertake nurse lead clinics.

·         Assisting with associated research studies.

·         Liaising with the local and regional multi-disciplinary teams.

·         Providing support for both patients and their families in both the hospital and community setting.

Applicants should have or be working towards obtaining a 1st level degree and have recent experience in the management of patients with a wide range of rheumatological conditions. Applicants must also have the knowledge and skills to monitor patients on immunosuppressive and cytotoxic medication. Clinical assessment and independent nurse prescribing is essential for this role.
