Job overview

Are you an experienced project manager with a passion for driving change in healthcare? Do you want to play a key role in a ground-breaking initiative that could transform the delivery and accessibility of PrEP on a national scale? If so, we want to hear from you!

The Elton John AIDS Foundation has awarded funding for an ambitious 18-month project aimed at enhancing the delivery and uptake of PrEP across multiple NHS Trusts in Liverpool, West Sussex, and Brighton. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-profile project that has the potential to shape national policy and improve access to life-changing prevention services.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the  implementation of this innovative initiative. Working across several NHS Trusts over a wide geographical area, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless collaboration.

This hybrid role offers a high degree of autonomy and flexibility, with the expectation of some travel to partner organisations and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic and operational delivery of the project, ensuring all milestones and objectives are met.
  • Coordinate and facilitate collaboration across multiple NHS Trusts and Integrated Care Boards, fostering strong partnerships and shared learning.
  • Oversee the integration of PrEP services into Women’s Health Hubs and targeted primary care services for asylum seekers and refugee populations.
  • Manage project governance, reporting, and evaluation to demonstrate impact and inform future national policy.
  • Engage with a range of stakeholders, including clinical teams, commissioners, community organisations, and policymakers.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to project delivery, ensuring challenges are proactively addressed.
  • Oversee budgets, resources, and project timelines to ensure efficient use of funding.
  • Champion best practices in equality, diversity, and inclusion to maximise the impact of PrEP access for all communities.
  • Support the implementation of digital PrEP pathways, including the expansion of the PrEP EmERGE platform.
