Public Health Analyst
Band 6
Job overview
We are seeking an experienced Public Health Data Analyst to join our integrated Sexual Health and HIV Service, supporting the delivery of a large, complex, locally commissioned Public Health contract.
This is a specialist analytical role embedded within a community and population-health focused service, working closely with clinicians, operational managers, commissioners, and Local Authority Public Health teams. It is not a generic data analyst post — the role exists to support the unique performance, quality, and health-inequalities focus of sexual health services.
Main duties of the job
About the role
You will lead on the analysis, interpretation, and reporting of sexual health and HIV data to support:
- Public Health outcomes, health equity, and population-level insights
- Service planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement based on interrogated data
- Commissioner reporting and assurance processes for project/research-based work
The post plays a critical role in supporting new and evolving Public Health priorities, including HIV prevention (PrEP), STI innovation, TB testing initiatives, and reducing inequalities in access and outcomes.
