Job overview

Support the delivery of a safe and effective clinical trials dispensing service following the principles of good clinical practice (GCP), under the supervision of a senior Clinical Trials Technician
Supporting service provision through the receiving, dispensing, returning and destruction of medicines for use in clinical and the maintenance of accurate accountability records for these tasks.
Work as key member of a small pharmacy trials team to identify and deliver improvements in pharmacy services.

Person specification

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential criteria
  • Participation in providing an NVQ portfolio and completion of two year study period for pharmaceutical sciences
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
Desirable criteria
  • Demonstrates understanding of good clinical practice.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Dual qualification in Pharmacy Services: NVQ Level 3 /BTEC Diploma
  • Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrates ability to work to set procedures
Desirable criteria
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of GMP and QA in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate routine information effectively using clear written and appropriate formats.
