Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, proactive Admin Clerk within the Paediatric Department who will primarily be based with our Paediatric Nurse Liaison Service.

The successful post holder will be expected to cover other Paediatric areas if required. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a Team, has good interpersonal skills and are efficient individuals with excellent communication and IT skills.

You will be an integral member of the Community and Liaison team, providing an effective day-to-day clerical support to facilitate the smooth running of these services.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be required to provide comprehensive and confidential administrative and clerical activities. These will include answering the telephone, meeting and greeting staff, filing, general clerical duties such as data collection and using NHS IT systems eg. EMIS, in order to meet the needs of the service in accordance with Departmental, Trust and National standards, policies and procedures.

We also provide urgent care at our Urgent Treatment Centre located in St Helens town centre.

Specialist Regional Services

We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
