Job overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate registered Physiotherapy candidates who are keen to consolidate and continue to develop their core Physiotherapy skills and practise.

The Band 5 Physiotherapy Rotation is Trust Wide and offers candidates the opportunity to work within Physical Health, in services  across the Merseycare footprint, enabling opportunities within community and in-patient provision. The rotations cover MSK, Community services, Intermediate care, Falls services, Respiratory, Neurology and Paediatrics.

As a valued member of the Physiotherapy workforce, training, CPD, supervision and preceptorship opportunities are available as standard to support you on your Physiotherapy career journey in order to develop holistic skills sets.  

Main duties of the job

The successful post holders will join a varied and well-established Band 5 Physiotherapy 6 monthly rotational programme. 

You will be using evidence based/ patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions of the service user group.

The post holder will take a holistic approach in the assessment and treatment of service users / patients, being responsible for the provision of appropriate, high quality Physiotherapy to a defined caseload.

You will work in partnership with other professionals and as an integral member of the Physiotherapy teams and wider MDT, supporting service user's and their families and carer's side by side.

Qualification

Essential criteria
  • Registered AHP relevant to your profession with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure
Desirable criteria
  • Membership of professional body

Knowledge/ Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of relevant Therapy assessments
  • Experience of successful team working
  • Experience of liaison with internal and external services and agencies
  • Knowledge and ability to express an understanding of therapeutic process including formulation of intervention plans grounded in clinical reasoning
  • General knowledge of the principles of clinical governance
  • Have an understanding of clinical and environmental risk assessment
  • Evidence of CPD/Short courses
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of planning and facilitating therapeutic groups for patients / clients
  • Experience of service Development
  • Experience of being involved in clinical audit and/or research
  • Familiar with Electronic Patient Records Management and clinical leadership
  • A basic understanding of Relevant legislation including The Mental Capacity Act
