Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual to join our large, friendly, multi-disciplinary Audiology team. The post is open to People with 5 GCSE's above C.

The post-holder will assist with both the assessment and rehabilitation of adults with hearing difficulties.

Training will be provided for the use of computer systems so a good knowledge of technology is beneficial. The department provides a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative service to the population of Wirral and surrounding areas as well as supporting ENT clinic. 

The department operates extended working hours enabling staff to work a 4 day week.

Main duties of the job

  • Required to work as an autonomous clinical practitioner at hearing aid support clinics referring clinical decision outside own role to senior practitioners. 
  • To work and communicate effectively within the multi-disciplinary Audiology team.
  • Ensuring line manager is kept informed of any adverse conditions affecting patient care.
  • To communicate effectively and courteously with patients, colleagues, public and members of the Directorate and Trust.
  • To comply with the Trust’s personnel policies and procedures, Health and Safety, fire regulations and risk management procedures, clinical and non-clinical. 
  • To carry out duties in line with Trust Equality and Diversity policies. 
  • To adhere to and maintain Trust, Departmental and Professional quality standards.
  • To develop and maintain personal skills and knowledge within the Audiological field, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of procedural and professional developments. 
  • To attend all Trust’s mandatory training.
