Trosolwg o'r swydd
Wirral University Teaching Hospital (WUTH) is excited to be recruiting 1 WTE post in Diabetes and Endocrinology. The post holder will participate in the on/off ward model on our diabetes and endocrinology ward and support the establishment of a fully integrated insulin pump service including transition, young persons, pregnancy, podiatry and adult teams.
Post holder will join an enthusiastic team of 4.6WTE Consultants, 0.8WTE Associate Specialist, and a team of experienced diabetes specialist nurses, dieticians, and multidisciplinary diabetes pregnancy and foot teams. We have a weekly medical disorder in pregnancy clinic and our young person’s diabetes service took part in the Seamless Transition Project. We are the leading provider for Transgender Endocrinology in the region.
There are opportunities to expand links with the Ophthalmology consultants in thyroid eye clinics and develop any interest in bone endocrinology. We have close links with the Walton Joint Pituitary Team and the Liverpool University Hospitals Endocrine Surgical Teams as well as having our own monthly thyroid/parathyroid MDT with WUTH ENT colleagues and monthly radiology MDT. WUTH is a digital exemplar using the Cerner PAS with both DKA and VRIII protocols recently upgraded to paperless.
Whilst not essential, ideal candidates would help develop our research capability as the Trust enters an exciting expansion in research and innovation. We encourage applicants with a range of subspecialty interests.
