CRC is a 30 bedded Neurorehabilitation Ward consisting of 20 stroke rehab and 10 neuro rehab beds. 

We are a dynamic, energetic ward who welcomes new members of staff to join our team.

The housekeeper is an integral member of the team who will work along side the Management and Nursing team maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of all Nursing equipment, both in use on the ward and in store.

Main duties of the job

  • To maintain a high standard of cleanliness of all nursing equipment, both in use on the ward and in store. 
  • To ensure all equipment in good working order at all times and report appropriately if not.
  • Maintain Health and Safety in the workplace.
  • To support and maintain an appropriate stock supply of consumables to unit. 
  • Assist in completion of menus
  • Assist with giving meals to patients

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training

Essential criteria
  • NVQ level 1 in a relevant subject or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • Previously experience in an acute NHS hospital
  • Previous experience of the Cerner Millennium information system
  • Good keyboard and computer skills

Knowledge and Skills

  • General awareness of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations and processes.
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Good verbal communication skills
Desirable criteria
  • General awareness of Food Hygiene regulations and processes
