Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for a successful candidate to join our busy team of porter Services and based at Princess of Wales Hospital. The position will consist mainly of porter duties as per role requirements. Some driving will be required.
The post is for 27.5 hours per week on a permanent contract.
English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
Porter services comprise of operational duties associated with waste, transport, community beds team, mail, support to cleaning services and general hospital porter duty functions.
The role will also contribute to the provision of healthcare for the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) by delivering a porter service which meets all organisational and legislative standards and support the Facilities Unit commitment to quality standards.
There will be a requirement to support driving services, within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board Bridgend Region.
The role will also assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices, and helping to maintain open, effective communication.
Ensure a high quality service is delivered to patients, staff and visitors.

Essential criteria
- Educated to a good standard of education or relative work experience
 - Full driving license
 
Desirable criteria
- Basic knowledge of porter or transport, waste, caretaker, security services, healthcare porter services

- Working within a busy customer focused and productive work environment (preferably within a healthcare setting)
