Job overview
Do you have experience engaging with communities? Would you like to bring your skills to our supportive, innovative, high achieving public health dietetic team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board?
The opportunity has arisen to employ a Dietetic Assistant Practitioner to work with children and families to deliver a range of community based initiatives; utilising a range of agreed approaches to support positive changes to food, nutrition, and physical activity behaviours. They will support the local delivery and evaluation of Nutrition Skills for LifeTM services.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will receive a range of training opportunities and work alongside fellow Dietetic Assistant Practitioners in Public Health Dietetics, under the guidance of the Senior Public Health Dietitians. They will receive weekly supervision sessions with a registered dietitian and will work closely with a range of partner agencies to promote positive healthy lifestyle behaviours.
We will accept applications on a full time, part-time and flexible working basis.
All bank workers will work relatively independently, working to an agreed framework with a degree of autonomy and will be responsible and accountable for these tasks. This will involve having their own caseload and working co productively with a range of partners and organisations in a complex community environment.
Bank workers will be based in the uniquely built Keir Hardie University Health Park as well out in community and set up to work from home as appropriate.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through a combination of credited training, short courses and experience. Knowledge of public health nutritional messages and current services
